Update the app for new reader code. Update the library when new books or chapters land — I’ll keep pulling them onto the shelf as they appear.

Editor
Markup while you read. Highlight a phrase, underline for the ear, strike to cut, bracket a passage, caret where something is missing. Group marks that are one problem. Review the chapter, then send one harness prompt.
Turn Editor on to mark pages and the last 30 seconds of audio.
Open reviewDictionary
Tap a word for English, or a name for the house glossary — who they are, then spoilers for the series and the universe. New books get names added as they land. The small circled d on the page turns it all the way off so every tap is a page turn.
How to read
Top half goes back a page. Bottom half goes forward. The folded corner brings the glass overlay back for ten seconds.
Open walkthroughDesk
Device counts, listening time, and title usage. Payments stay off.
Open deskiPhone app
The Xcode project is already in this repo. Keep shipping the site as usual. Whenever you want to play native, open ios/App/App.xcodeproj, plug the phone in, press Play.
- On the Mac: cd ~/boundary-universe && git pull && npx cap sync ios && open ios/App/App.xcodeproj
- Signing & Capabilities → Team (your Apple ID)
- Top bar: your iPhone, then Play
- Paste the Safari books address on first launch if it asks
Bundle ID com.adobetoby.books · version 1.17.5. Safe to poke: icon, display name, signing, AppDelegate audio session. Leave the library itself in the website — Xcode is the shell.
Read aloud
Local reading while you edit. Uses the voices already on this iPhone — no ElevenLabs, no cloud. On the page, the speaker reads the page and turns it when that page is finished.
This browser cannot read aloud. On iPhone, add the app to the Home Screen and try again.
Watch and AirPods
Start a chapter on this iPhone. Tap the AirPlay button in Listen to pick Car, AirPods, or speaker. Steering-wheel next/back, Watch, and headset stems then skip chapters, jump, and pause.
Install as an app
Same site on iPhone, iPad, and laptop. Add it so it opens as its own window, keeps audio in the background, and gives the editor a full landscape desk.
