How to read
A short walkthrough of the page. The overlay is glass. The manuscript uses the whole screen.
Tap the folded corner. The glass returns for ten seconds, then the page is only type.

The page is the whole screen
Type fills the phone, under the Dynamic Island. Nothing is meant to sit on the manuscript except a small folded corner.

Top half goes back
Tap the upper half of the screen to turn to the previous page. A Back mark sits at the top for ten seconds when the glass overlay is up, then fades.

Bottom half goes forward
Tap the lower half to turn to the next page. Swipe left or right anywhere on the page does the same.

The folded corner
A small leaf turned down in the top-left corner. Tap it and the glass overlay — page number, tap zones, and Hide — comes back for another ten seconds.

Hide, or wait
Tap Hide to clear the overlay at once. If you do nothing, it fades after ten seconds so the type stands alone.

Your place is kept
Chapter and page stay on the glass (Ch 1 · 14 / 60) and are saved on this phone. If you leave, the same page opens again.

Dictionary
A small circled d stays on the page. Filled means dictionary is on — tap a name for who they are, then spoilers for the series and the universe. Outline means it is off. Then every tap is a page turn, top half back, bottom half forward.

Editor marks
Turn Editor on. H highlights a phrase. U is voice. S cuts. [ ] brackets a passage. ^ inserts. E edits the paragraph itself — like ElevenLabs, the words on the page are the manuscript. Changed lines keep a mark so Monroe can learn the before and after. Tap a word, then the last word of a span for marks. The page will not jump — turn with the arrows on the page number.

Read aloud
The speaker on the page uses this iPhone’s voices. It reads the page you are on, then turns it. Hold the speaker, or open Voices, to pick Samantha, Siri, and any Enhanced voices you have downloaded.
Overlay fades. The folded leaf brings it back.
